13-Year-Old Indian Boy With Upside Down Head Receives a Miracle With a Stranger's Kindness!

Mahendra Ahirwar,a 13-year-old from Madhya Pradesh in central India, was born with an extreme rare condition called Congenital myopathy. The disorder has made his neck bend and his head hang at a 180-degree angle from his body. He couldn’t stand or walk and was restricted to a sitting position due to his weak backbone.

Mahindra was not able to do anything by himself other than crawling. He always relied on his mother to feed him, bath him and dress him. Everyday, he left alone at home while his sister and younger brother went to school and his elder brother tried to find work. He could never join with his friends, and used to watch them play.

Everyone including his parents lost their hope, but his life was completely saved by a stranger. The teenager has undergone life-changing surgery by a former NHS surgeon after a mother-of-two Julie Jones from Liverpool set up a crowd-funding page raising £12,000 for treatment.

Spinal surgeon Dr Rajagopalan Krishnan, from Apollo Hospital, in Delhi, performed the operation after Julie Jones made it possible.
