Eau de Parfum usually contains up to 20% of perfume oil. It is a bit less lasting, therefore requiring more spraying. It is also important to note that spraying Eau de Parfum on silk or satin clothing can lead to a stinky smell, on the contrary to applying it on your hair and other fabrics.

Eau de Toilette

Eau de Toilette is the lightest perfume version with only up to 5% of the essential oil. It makes it the cheapest and the least-lasting option. Mostly, it contains refreshing scents and is good to be applied during hot summer days. The smell fades away really fast, so you can reapply it several times throughout the day not being afraid the smell will be too strong.

Eau de Cologne

Eau de Cologne is almost the lightest version of perfume featured with the ingredients like citrus and herbs. It contains 3% – 5% of fragrance oil providing its owner with up to 2 hours of smell.

Eau Fraiche

Eau Fraiche contains maximum 3% of essential oils and its sent is present for only first 20-30 minutes after its apply. It is more the mixture of alcohol and other perfume compounds. It can be successfully used as a home air freshener. As to the choice of your personal perfume, it’s better to spend a bit more, but acquire something worthy.
