See bags and shoes made from Apple peel, the latest trending fashion items

A design company use an innovative process to take leftover apple peel and turn it into fashionable bags and shoes for men and women.

Large quantities of apples, grown in Bolzano, northern Italy, are peeled and used to make juice, with the waste being burnt.

However, Hong Kong-based designers Life Green Ltd now take the peel to their branch in Milan, Italy, before putting it through an industrial mixing process to turn it into a leather-like material, which they use to make their products.

They have also made wallets, formal men's shoes and women's boots, and they plan to expand their range further to include covers for sofas and chairs.
