Nurses in England will strike again on January 18 and 19. There will be 55 trusts involved in the strike, up from 44 this month.
The Royal College of Nursing (RCN) said it had urged ministers to hold negotiations on NHS pay on numerous occasions. On December 15 and 20, the RCN held two days of industrial action in England, Northern Ireland, and Wales.
In Wales and Northern Ireland, RCN members won't go on strike once more in January. While Scotland will announce dates for their strike action early in the new year.
Once again, we offered talks. Once again Ministers refused to get round the table. Once again nursing staff are left with no choice.
